Schalke's leading goalscorer is in no mood to wait. If Klaas-Jan Huntelaar had his way, he would contest the next Bundesliga match (Saturday 28 January, 1830 CET) tomorrow. "Playing in this team is just so much fun at the moment. As soon as a game is over I'm already looking ahead to the next one," he said.
The 28-year-old Dutchman is well aware that the trip to Cologne will not be as easy as the 5-1 home win earlier in the season, but he is confident his side can pick up at least a point at the RheinEnergieStadion. "We know the result in the first game was something special, not one you can repeat every week. Cologne will be a different proposition in front of their own fans and will make life difficult for us," he said. "Our form is so good at the moment, however, so we needn't fear anyone and we'll be aiming to take all three points on Saturday."
Though Huntelaar cannot know whether he will add to his tally of fifteen goals at Cologne, he is sure Schalke's on-form strike force will have plenty of chances. "I'm a striker and I always want to score. I did find the back of the net against Stuttgart but it didn't count, unfortunately. Perhaps I can make up for it in Cologne," he said. "It's more important that the team continues to score goals, however. I don't anticipate any problems in that regard as we are creating chances in every game at the moment."
