Preparations for Tuesday's DFB Cup tie at Carl Zeiss Jena are entering their final phase. And on Sunday there were two bits of good news for head coach Fred Rutten.
Orlando Engelaar and Levan Kobiashvili have shaken off their respective injuries and resumed training. Both are possibilities for the trip to Jena, though Christian Pander remains sidelined. The Schalke left-back may resume training on Monday, but is definitely ruled out for the game on Tuesday.
There was also a new face at training in the shape of defender Bruno Soares. The lanky Brazilian, who comes from Rafinha's ex-club Coritiba, will train with the Royal Blues for the rest of the week.
