Kuranyi a doubt for derby

With the exception of the long-term absentees Schalke manager Felix Magath has almost a full squad to choose from ahead of Saturday's Ruhr derby at Borussia Dortmund. Kevin Kuranyi is the only doubt.
"Kevin is still ill and at the moment it doesn't look like he can play", Magath said. The Schalke striker has been struggling with the after-effects of flu for more than two weeks.
Greek midfielder Vasileios "Billy" Pliatsikas has just about recovered from a toe injury, however. "It looks as if he'll be involved, as he was in Bochum", said Magath on the eve of the game.
