Lewis Holtby signs four-year contract

FC Schalke 04 have agreed terms with Alemannia Aachen for the transfer of Lewis Holtby. The 18-year-old striker (born in Erkelenz on 18.9.1990) has successfully completed a medical and has put pen to paper on a deal that will tie him to the Royal Blues until 30 June 2013.
Holtby, who is 1.74 metres tall and weighs 69 kilograms, made a total of 33 second-division appearances for Alemannia Aachen (8 goals, 8 assists) and is an under-19 Germany international (12 appearances, 4 goals). He has already joined up with his new team-mates at Schalke's training camp in Herzlake and will wear the number seven shirt.
