Moravek joins Augsburg on loan

Schalke have loaned Czech midfielder Jan Moravek to Bundesliga rivals FC Augsburg until 30 June 2012. The two clubs have agreed not to reveal any details of the transfer.
"Jan is a very good player with potential to improve still further. To do that, however, he needs match practice and there's obviously a fierce battle for places in our midfield this season," said general manager Horst Heldt. "That's why Jan also wanted to go out on loan in the second half of the season to allow him to get some playing time."
Moravek, 22, joined the Royal Blues from the Prague-based club Bohemians in 2009 and is contracted to the club until 30 June 2013. The Czech international has already had one loan spell, playing for Kaiserslautern in the 2010/2011 season. In the current campaign he has made six Bundesliga appearances and also had one outing for FC Schalke 04 II in the fourth-tier Regionalliga West. To date he has made a total of 42 Bundesliga appearances and scored seven goals.
