Schalke trip to Hoffenheim rescheduled

Schalke's away clash with Hoffenheim on Matchday 3 has been rescheduled, the German Football League (DFL) announced on Monday afternoon. The match was due to take place on Sunday 12 September (1530 CET) but has now been pulled forward to Friday 10 September (2030 CET).
The game originally scheduled to kick off Matchday 3, Mainz versus Kaiserslautern, has been switched to the Sunday. The change was made necessary by the Champions League fixture list, which is as yet unknown.
By swapping the two matches the DFL has ruled out the possibility of Schalke having to play in the Bundesliga on the Sunday and the Champions League on the Tuesday.
