Swiss under-21 international Mario Gavranovic completes Schalke move

FC Schalke 04 have dipped into the transfer market once again just before the window slams shut, completing the signing of Mario Gavranovic from Swiss first division side Neuchâtel Xamax. The 20-year-old striker has been given a three-and-half-year contract that will run until 30 June 2013.
Gavranovic has played 17 times in the AXPO Super League this season, scoring eight goals. To date he has made eight appearances for Switzerland's under-21 side (2 goals).
