Ze Roberto set to return to Rio

Though nothing has been signed yet, a deal that will see Ze Roberto play his football back home in Brazil is on the verge of being completed. His boycott of the club's mid-winter preparations has also met with a hefty punishment.
Schalke have handed him a 58,000 euro fine, which has since been paid, for his failure to turn up for training.
As things stand it looks as though the 29-year-old midfielder will join traditional Rio-based club Flamengo on a one-year loan deal. The corresponding contracts have yet to be signed, however.
